We are excited to announce that, following a Special General Meeting, Inner West Little Athletics Centre has officially become Inner West Athletics.
While our name has changed, we want to reassure everyone that we are still the very same club you know and love.
Our committee, volunteers, Friday night competitions, training sessions, home venue and welcoming community remain exactly the same. Our athletics program continues unchanged, and we remain proudly affiliated with Little Athletics while also embracing the broader athletics pathway available through the unified NSW Athletics structure.
Why the change?
The new name better reflects who we are today.
We have always been about helping athletes grow, from their very first run on the track, right through to juniors and open athletics. As athletics continues to evolve across NSW and Australia, our new name recognises that we are a club for athletes of all ages and abilities, while still proudly celebrating our Little Athletics heritage.

This is simply a new name that better represents the complete journey we offer our athletes.
A new look is coming!
Over the coming weeks you’ll begin to see our new Inner West Athletics branding roll out across our communications.
We’ll also be launching a brand new website to match our new identity. During the transition, our existing website will continue to operate, so you won’t miss any important information while we make the changeover.
We’ll let everyone know as soon as the new website is live.
Same club. Same community. New name.
This is an exciting new chapter in our club’s history, and we’re looking forward to continuing to support athletes and families for many years to come.
