This year Zones will be held on the 10th & 11th December at ES Marks Field, Kensington. Athletes in the age groups U7 through to U17 are eligible for this event.
Entry is $10 per athlete and all parents are asked to help on the day of the event. A list of available events can be found below.
To enter please complete the Inner West Zone nomination form 2016 and return to the club house by 18th November, 2016 with your Registration Fee.
Zone to Region progression
Regionals will be held on the The first 6 places automatically will progress to Regions. Then a maximum of 4 next best qualifiers will also be taken through to the Regions. A total of up to 16 athletes in each event at each region may qualify.

The Regional Championships will be held on the 27, 28 & 29 January 2017 at Sylvania Waters Athletic Track, Sylvania Waters. Athletes in the age groups U8 through to U17 are eligible for this event. U8 athletes do not progress past the region championships.
The first two places at each of the eight regions will progress to state. Little Athletics NSW then selects the next best eight clear final performances from across all regions. Making a total of up to 24 athletes in each event at state.
The Trans Tasman is for athletes in the U11 and U12 age groups, from both NSW and Auckland. Every second year, a team from NSW (boys and girls in both the U11 and U12 age groups), travel to Auckland for the Trans Tasman Tour. On alternate years, a team from Auckland travels to Sydney.
In the 2016/17 season the Trans Tasman Challenge will take place in Sydney in January 2017.
The TRIALS for the 2017 Trans Tasman Challenge Team will be held at The Crest, Bass Hill on Sunday, 6 November 2016. Full details are available in Bulletin 1, which can be found here.

The 2017 State Multi-Event Championships will be held at Hunter Sports Centre, Glendale on Saturday & Sunday, 4 & 5 March 2017.

First event each day will be at 9am, with first call at 8.45am. Athletes participate in ALL of the events on offer for their particular age group. Performances for all events are allocated points, based on the LANSW Multi-Event point score system. The points are then added together to determine final results.

Parents are asked to act as Athlete Controllers (which is similar to centre age managers) at the State Multi-Event. There will be up to two (2) Athlete Controllers per age group and gender (eg. Under 9 Boys Blue, Under 9 Girls Pink, Under 10 Boys Silver etc). Groups without Athlete Controllers (Parent helpers) will not be permitted to leave the Meeting Point areas if they don’t have an Athlete Controller. State Track & Field Championships
This coming season the Championships will be held on Friday to Sunday, 17-19 March 2017 at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre. Athletes in the age groups U9 through to U17 are eligible for this event. Qualifying to State is via performances at each of the 8 Regionals.
